We are seeking a compassionate PRN Chaplain to join our Austin team. If you have a heart for serving others, building meaningful relationships, and supporting individuals of all faiths and backgrounds, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do:
- Provide compassionate spiritual and emotional support to hospice patients and their families.
- Assess each patient's spiritual needs while honoring their beliefs, values, and preferences.
- Offer prayer, counseling, encouragement, and supportive visits as requested.
- Support families through grief, loss, and the end-of-life journey.
- Collaborate with nurses, social workers, physicians, and the interdisciplinary hospice team.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings as appropriate.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in the EMR system.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience providing pastoral care, spiritual counseling, or chaplain services.
- Hospice, hospital, or healthcare chaplain experience preferred (but not required).
- Ability to minister to individuals of diverse faiths, cultures, and beliefs.
- Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the Austin service area.
