This role is ideal for an RN who is calm under pressure, works well independently, and values meaningful patient care. Hospice on-call nursing allows you to make a real difference after hours while being supported by an experienced clinical team.
What You’ll Do:

- Respond to after-hours patient and family calls with professionalism and compassion
- Triage clinical concerns and determine appropriate interventions
- Make urgent visits as needed in patients’ homes or facilities
- Provide symptom management and end-of-life nursing support
- Coordinate with physicians, case managers, and the interdisciplinary hospice team
- Complete timely documentation using the EMR system
- Ensure patients and families feel supported, informed, and cared for after hours
What We’re Looking For:
- Active Texas RN license
- Hospice, home health, ER, ICU, or acute care experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and triage skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Compassionate communication skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally
- Current CPR/BLS certification
