Director of Nursing (DON) – Hospice | Ennis, TX
Location: Ennis, TX
Position: Full-Time

Looking for a leadership role where you can make a meaningful impact on both patients and your team?

At Concho Hearts Hospice, we believe great patient care starts with great leadership. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and support our clinical team in the Ennis area.

This role is ideal for a nurse leader who enjoys mentoring others, building strong teams, ensuring quality patient care, and creating a positive culture where employees feel supported and empowered.

What You’ll Do:

Oversee day-to-day clinical operations and nursing services for the branch.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members.
Ensure quality patient care and compliance with hospice regulations and standards.
Monitor clinical documentation, patient outcomes, and care coordination processes.
Participate in hiring, onboarding, coaching, and staff development.
Support admissions, patient care planning, and interdisciplinary team meetings (IDT).
Collaborate closely with Executive Directors and home office leadership.
Promote a positive and supportive team culture.

What We’re Looking For:

Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Hospice experience required.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of hospice regulations and compliance standards.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with EMR systems preferred.
Passion for developing and supporting teams.
